About

I started the Early Music Chamber Singers because I missed the transportive experience of creating music in a small ensemble group — but this time, I wanted to share that experience through the beauty of the human voice. I always loved singing sacred polyphony from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, and I wanted to build a group with others who shared that passion.

Each singer in our ensemble brings years of artistry and professional experience — whether through careers in the music industry or through deep musical training that has remained an essential part of their lives. All of our members are professionally trained singers; some are lifelong professional musicians, while others bring rich experiences from related fields that strongly contribute to the musical excellence and spirit of collaboration we focus on. Their unique talents, musical insights, and love for early music allow us to explore the intricate textures, phrasing, and spiritual depth that define this repertoire.

A wonderful example of this collaboration is our ensemble conductors, who lead selected pieces by guiding entrances, phrasing, and musical flow, bringing their own skills and interpretation to support the group’s unified expression.

I carefully chose the pieces you will hear tonight because they are beloved polyphonic favorites, often heard in Anglican and Episcopal churches. These timeless works reflect centuries of tradition and the enduring beauty of the sacred choral art. Plus they are cool to listen to.

As the artistic director and executive producer, I curate the programs, guide the musical vision for our performances, and coordinate the many moving parts that bring these concerts to life. What began as a personal passion project has evolved into a vibrant and evolving ensemble, committed to keeping the beauty of sacred a cappella music alive and sharing it with you.
